R Panel Metal Roofing & Siding - Aged Copper®

PBR panel is a purlin bearing R panel. This means that the panels will overlap fully resulting in a stronger connection and a more weather-tight metal roofing panel. The term R Panel is a generic term that generally means either R Panel or PBR Panel. PBR Panel should always be used on a roof and is also appropriate for metal siding and wall applications. We only offer PBR Panel as it costs the same and will work for both roofs and walls.

PBR Panel metal roofing and siding are a low-maintenance, durable alternative to conventional roofing. This metal panel adds extra protection against the elements by including a purlin bearing leg that overlaps between panels sealing out moisture and wind. These panels can be installed either on a solid substrate or open framing such as metal purlins or wood support beams.

About Aged Copper®

Aged Copper® is a painted product that is designed to look like a copper roof that has started to patina. This copper paint print looks like a shiny copper penny that has aqua green patina spots on it. Aged Copper® looks excellent from BOTH up close and from a distance.

The four main advantages in using Aged Copper when compared to real copper roofing are:

Cost savings of 60 % to 75 % when compared to real corrugated copper
Aged Copper® arrives looking patina'd. You don NOT have to wait for it to patina.
Run off from real copper roofing will stain the surrounding areas. Aged Copper® is a painted product so you will NOT have these problems.
Standard Paint Warranty With Aged Copper®. Real copper does NOT have a WARRANTY.

Aged Copper® can be used in exterior or interior applications. It is a perfect solution for an interior application as it arrives looking patina'd. With real copper wall panels you would have to pre-weather it and than seal it. This takes time and money. You eliminate all of these problems by using Aged Copper® instead of real copper panels.
