This popular type of standing seam metal roofing has a two inch panel seam. It's perfect for very low sloped commercial or residential roofs. A standing seam roof has a more difficult metal roof installation because it is a concealed fastener panel and is normally installed by professionals.
Mechanically seamed roofing is a standing seam metal panel that has edges that line up with each other. A roof seamer is used to bend the roof panel edges and interlock the sheets together. This is referred to as a single lock or a double lock system.
Mechanically seamed metal roofing is the most weather-tight roofing system compared to the other standing seam systems. It's more durable than snap lock panels or nail strip standing seam roofing. MS2® is ideal for a flat roof and can handle pitches as low as 1" in 12". It's ideal for snow country and can be seamed with a single or double lock connection. Roof seamer rentals are available to make your installation as smooth as possible.
