What Is White Wood?

Whitewashing wood is a technique used to give wood a light, faded look while still allowing the natural grain to show through. With T8 Plankwall® metal panels, you can achieve this look without the hassle of preparing the paint and sanding the wood.

This finish is designed to replicate the look of aged, whitewashed wood, with a soft white overlay that reveals subtle wood grain patterns beneath. It gives the panels a weathered, vintage appeal while retaining the strength and durability of metal.

Rot Resistant - Real wood absorbs moisture and is vulnerable to decay causing it to rot. Painted metal panels are waterproof and do not rot.

Pest & Termite Resistant - Bugs, pests, termites, and birds cannot penetrate through metal materials making a metal wall panel system your best defense against unwanted creatures.

Durable - 24 Gauge metal wall panel substrate coated with Galvalume® and/orZincalume® will have an exceptionally long life expectancy.

Sustainable - Metal cladding is made from recycled content and is recyclable at the end of its life as a wall panel. In contrast, most shingle tear-off waste ends up as part of the building-related waste stream - up to 20 billion pounds per year.
