There are 3 types of standing seam metal roofing panels. Standing seam is more weather-tight and expensive when compared to exposed fastener panels.
7/8" corrugated has deep wavy corrugations that are both vintage and modern looking. It's easy to install, structurally strong, and incredibly impact resistant.
R Panel is the nicest metal panel for the least amount of money. Looks similar to standing seam, but without the price tag.
Western Rib is our strongest panel. It's capable of longer spans and is an excellent choice for buildings that have metal purlins. It's also a popular fencing and wall panel.
Deciding between PVDF or an SMP paint finish for your new metal roof? We’re here to help. As a manufacturer of metal roofing panels with both types of paint systems, we are often asked which is better. We want you to be able to choose which painted metal roofing panels will make the most sense for you.
PVDF coatings are the highest quality paint system and are superior to SMP. However, they aren't the best solution for every job and they can cost significantly more than SMP. The decision between these two panels comes down to compromises between price and performance.
If you're struggling to make a decision, we recommend reading Best Paint For My Metal Roof Panels: SMP Paint vs. Kynar
PVDF is our highest quality paint coating. Metal roofing that has a PVDF finish will have excellent resistance to sunlight exposure and will fade at a slower rate than other paint finishes.
If you don't find what you're looking for with our 20 standard PVDF colors then we also offer special ordered colors. These 14 colors are not in stock. They are supplied on a job by job basis. These colors cost more and have a longer lead time.
SMP painted metal panels are less expensive than PVDF and are available in lighter gauges. They have less resistance to UV exposure and will fade at a greater rate. SMP makes the most sense on lighter colors or when cost savings is the top priority.
Matte finishes are flat colors that have less of a glare than your standard metal roofing colors. Matte colors have a warm, inviting look that is elegant and not as intense as a glossy finish. A matte finish can be useful when working with black because it can soften the sometimes harsh appearance that black or other dark colors might give off.
A glossy black will give off a more dramatic, intense appearance than a matte black. You should choose this finish type if you want a roof with a shiny appearance. Consider the aesthetic you’re looking to achieve when choosing which type of black finish to use.
The latest trend in architecture is the use of matte colors for your house or commercial project. Matte colors have a warm, inviting look that is elegant and not as intense as a glossy finish.
Adding a dark metal roof to your house provides contrast to the existing architecture. It creates a bold and modern look, but will still complement the features of your property. Available in standard glossy and matte finishes.
